My Review of The Saint by Tiffany Reisz ~ New Release!

The Saint coverBook Synopsis:

In the beginning, there was him.

Gutsy, green-eyed Eleanor never met a rule she didn’t want to break. She’s sick of her mother’s zealotry and the confines of Catholic school, and declares she’ll never go to church again. But her first glimpse of beautiful, magnetic Father Søren Stearns and his lust-worthy Italian motorcycle is an epiphany. Suddenly, daily Mass seems like a reward, and her punishment is the ache she feels when they’re apart. He is intelligent and insightful and he seems to know her intimately at her very core. Eleanor is consumed—and even she knows that can’t be right.

But when one desperate mistake nearly costs Eleanor everything, it is Søren who steps in to save her. She vows to repay him with complete obedience…and a whole world opens before her as he reveals to her his deepest secrets.

Danger can be managed—pain, welcomed. Everything is about to begin.

MY REVIEW

I messed up big time. The original review I’d written for this book is on my PC at work and I refuse to go there and get it on my weekend off, but I will re-post next week when I retrieve it. Please accept my apologies, readers, and especially Ms. Reisz.

As many of you know I am a HUGE fan of these books and they keep me going from book to book in the series. One thing that jumped out at me about The Saint is the way Ms. Reisz chose to tell the story. As she is wont to do, she told the story of Eleanor Sutherlin and Father Marcus Stearns through a series of stories Nora tells to Nico, Kingsley Edge’s son, whom she’s located in France and who has followed her to Germany. The delectable Mistress Nora has captivated yet another young man with her feminine and dominatrix wiles and he is the vehicle through which she chooses to work through the grief of the death of someone dear to her.

Me? I’m a Soren girl, so this didn’t set well with me, although I was totally fine with her and Wesley. Go figure? I suppose I wanted her to be with Soren both while the story was being told of their past, and for her to seek him out to go through her period of mourning.

There was also the matter of the parentage of Grace’s child that I was very curious about from the last book, yet the author chose not to delve into it (or perhaps it will be covered in another one of the books in this part of the series). Nevertheless, The Saint, as all of Tiffany Reisz’s book have done, kept me captivated by her stellar story telling and the raw eroticism she evokes through these beautifully crated tales.

If you are looking for sweet and romantic, this is not it. The history of Nora and Soren is a gritty as it gets. Read The Saint if you think you can stomach it!

I give The Saint 4.5 out of 5 Stars!

Tiffany Reisz lives with her boyfriend (a reformed book reviewer) and two cats (one good, one evil). She graduated with a B.A. in English from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky and is making both her parents and her professors proud by writing BDSM erotica under her real name. She has five piercings, one tattoo, and has been arrested twice.

When not under arrest, Tiffany enjoys Latin Dance, Latin Men, and Latin Verbs. She dropped out of a conservative southern seminary in order to pursue her dream of becoming a smut peddler. Johnny Depp’s aunt was her fourth grade teacher. Her first full-length novel THE SIREN was inspired by a desire to tie up actor Jason Isaacs (on paper). She hopes someday life will imitate art (in bed).

If she couldn’t write, she would die.
